What a lovely way to spend a layover in Doha! After a quick pass through immigration & customs (less than 10 minutes) the airport pick-up from our tour guide Asif was seamless. He whisked us away in comfort and started our tour immediately. Asif has a wonderful manner, a true expert on the history and culture of Qatar (and Pakistan). He is warm, yet exceeding professional and guided us through several historical areas with the perfect amount of background and patience in answering our multitudes of questions. Asif is a total pro, and we were able to cover all the things we wanted to see, as well as few surprises he showed us along the way. Two thumbs up (as high as they go) for Asif and ease of booking with ToursbyLocals.

Excellent tour. It covered both the well known sites outside of Doha as well as a few special “off the radar” ones. Asif is a wealth of knowledge about Qatar, its history and today’s happenings. He also is a talented professional who gives guides a great reputation.

We had a 7 hour layover in Doha and decided to book a 4-hour tour a few days before we arrived. Asif was very responsive in my initial emails asking what the tour would included and if a night tour would be worth it he assured me that seeing Doha at night would be quite memorable and it was! Asif picked us up at the airport and easily accommodated our family of 5. 100% Recommended

This really was an unforgettable day as Asif showed us so many places and gave us so much information about life in Qatar now and in the past. He certainly looked after us well all day, making sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed. We highly recommend Asif as a tour guide as well as recommend this whole day tour of the country.

Simply put, Asif is amazing! Our 8-10 hour tour just kept expanding as Asif kept adding stops. Asif showed me as much Doha as you can see in 11+ hours. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the region made this tour an incredible experience. His itinerary is very flexible and he is willing to add/modify the tour based upon your interests and needs. If I am ever back in the region, there is no one I would rather tour Doha with than Asif.
